THE TOUR OF MISIA DISCOTHEQUE ASIA

THE TOUR OF MISIA DISCOTHEQUE ASIA 2008 is MISIA first Asia tour that started from Taiwan, Singapore, Korea, China, Hongkong and all over Japan celebrating her 10th Anniversary in the music industry. And last Febuary 21st, me and my husband ( minus the kids )was able to be a part of MISIA 11th year Anniversary at Sendai, Hot House Super Arena here in Japan!! She wowed us her signature The Whistle Octave! She doesn’ t need any setting up a fancy stage or whatsoever - all she needs is a microphone and listen to her powerful voice and songs with deep lyrics!! We put our hands in the air, sang with her, danced with her with such energetic and very entertaining on- stage dancers and the lightning designs was magnificent!! It was a big WOW!!

I'd like to thank my husband for taking a seat at the arena ( thru an auction ), if it was like of a baseball game, Misia's center stage is the pitching ground and our seat is at the batter's box. How bad audience am I taking a shot of the stage an hour before starting the show and getting the guard's attention afterward. I know cameras are not allowed inside! lol!

Forget downloading pics of your favorite artists and saving it on your computers--- buy a Photobook! Highly recommended! This is The Real MISIA Photo Book I bought before starting the show.

Hot House Super Arena Sendai, Japan --- after MISIA's concert! \(^0^)/

Our dinner at a Yakiniku restaurant--- a yakiniku set and Bi Bim Bab. It's our first time to go out on a date with my husband minus the kids. I never thought he would come to surprise me going to MISIA's concert!

Watch MISIA's CATCH THE RAINBOW ( Discotheque Asia Live edit ) ENJOY!!

Proposed to Marry Tag

I've been tagged by Mommy Maria of Maria Went To Chicago. Thank you very much-- I enjoyed doing this and reminscing as well. ^_^ Though this might not be a romantic one, this is one of happenings of my life that I always keep.
My ideal of a perfect proposal is this: the setting will be at the beach, sunset( of course ) and there he'll give me the engagement ring and say the magic word " I wanna share the rest of my life with you, will you marry me? " .

BUT it was impossible coz I was working then in the evening as an entertainer here in Japan and when my husband proposed to me in the club, it was noisy! When he proposed to me, I said " What? I didn't hear you! " he said " kekkon shiyou "( a straight and simple marry me ) 3 times coz we're not hearing each other well. He proposed to me a week before finishing my contract for 6 months and decided to meet his parents. I met his parents but I didn't know that his Father is against a Filipina. After a long waiting of processing of papers, we became man and wife and then we went back again to his parents house and that's the only time I heard the truth that he is against me. Gees!! That time I was nervous because of that long silence between both parties. We are all sitted at a coffee table ( japanese stlyle ) me and my husband, and they're all facing in front of us. But my husband said to his Father that he's not asking for forgiveness for marrying a Filipina but he wants to introduce me that I am now his wife and whatever happens, it's his decision and responsibility. Even if his father is against of our marriage, my husband fighted for our love. After that, his father asked his wife to prepare a hotpot. While my Mother-In-Law is preparing the hotpot, she was crying-- she told me that hotpot is served during winter time, she said that it means that I am now accepted in the family because for them a HOTPOT is shared by family and that time it was summer and then we both cried.

I will wait for you down the aisles, Count each step and everystep, while you and I will be together, never to be parted forever and ever --- Yoshiyuki

I will walk to the altar to where you are, Smile to the world like a shining star, Take your hand as I have never done because you and I will be one. --- Clarissa

I'm passing this tag to all of my friends who wants to share their Proposal stories. Please grab them! ^_^ Have a nice day everybody!

Haruka chan, now 3!!!

Haruka on her first birthday

My Dear Haruka--- How time flies... Haruka was born on Febuary 20,2006, 8:30 a.m. and a 3,518 grams healthy baby. Since I had a fever when I was giving birth to her, I was not the one who first touched her but my Sister-In-Law because she's the one who helped me give birth, my midwife, my nurse. Haruka was named after NHK's morning drama entitled ' Kaze no Haruka', there's no name meaning in particular but sounds cute(according to her Daddy) that's why we chose Haruka. She was breastfeed for a year, her first tooth showed during her 4 months, and knows how to walk before her first birthday. Knows how to drink on a cup and use chopsticks at the age of year and a half. Last summer, her diaper is totally removed!! I'm happy that I was able to see her milestones in life and really blessed for having her as our child.
I LOVE YOU, HARUKA!! \(^0^)/

chrysanthemum leaves - 1/2 pack
2 tablespoons oil

ala- INDIE JONE'S Adventure!!

Our family went for an adventure last summer which is new to me and the family and that is going to a limestone cave. I love nature and impressed on how nature works and it excites me a lot! You’ll see some drip stones on the roof of the cave which is so impressive. It is 600 meter long path course inside the cave. The kids are very cooperative, they walk through some creepy paths and climb stairs without complaining at all and I can see it through their eyes that they're thrilled, too! While walking and enjoying the cave’s beautiful formation, I heard my mind singing the Indiana Jones theme: tatarara–tataraa—tatararaaaa—tantann!! There’s no crystal skull there but what awaits us is an impressive drip stones and hearing some water dripping which is soo pleasing to the ears that makes me feel closer to nature. I wanted to share what we have seen in there, so enjoy!!

It's dark in there and creepy, too!!

Boxwork

Do you hear water dripping?

Haruka climbing the stairs!

This Christmas tree is over 2 meter high

mushrooms!

If I had to pick between shopping and exploring a cave or camping, it would be camping and exploring a cave! ^_^ I love nature!!

A Japanese Potato Recipe

This is a typical " mother's taste" meal in Japan which I have learned from my Mother-in-law. It is served with a bowl of white rice and miso soup. My Mother-in-law taught me how to cook when we were still living with them for 3 years due to my husbands' work. You may find ( again ) the ingredients to your asian supermarkets.

Ingredients: ( good for 4 persons )
beef /pork sirloin - 100g, thinly sliced
4 potatoes
1 onion
1 carrot
shirataki noodles ( yam noodles ) - 1/2 pack
8 snow peas
4 tbsps soy sauce
4 tbsps sake
1 tbsp sugar
2 cups dashi soup stock
2 cups water
1/8 cup katsuobushi (dried bonito flakes)
Directions:

1: Make dashi soup stock.(Put water in a pan and heat on medium heat. Just before the water boils, add katsuobushi flakes. When the water boils, stop the heat and strain the broth.) You can use the instant dashi powder( 1 tbpsp dashi powder plus 2 cups of water ) if you want.
2. boil shirataki noodles, set aside
3: Cut beef or pork slices and vegetables into bite-sized pieces. Boil snow peas lightly and set aside, or you can you use the frozen one, thawed if use.
4: Put oil in a pan and sauté the meat quickly. Add potatoes, carrots and shirataki noodles in the pan and sauté them together.
5: Add dashi soup stock, soy sauce, sake, and sugar in the pan and simmer for 10 min on medium heat.
6: Add onion in the pan and simmer on low heat until the liquid are almost gone.
7: Sprinkle snow peas over the simmered beef and potatoes.
8: Serve with hot rice, miso soup and salad.

Enjoy your meal! :)
